2. About the Service
Pothi is a platform for reading Marathi devotional texts, tracking daily parayan (reading plans), and building a consistent spiritual reading habit. The Service is provided free of charge during the current phase.
3. Accounts
- Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- One account per person: You may not create multiple accounts or share your account credentials.
- Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.
4. Permitted use
You may use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from Pothi without our written permission
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
5. Intellectual property
All content on Pothi — including text, audio recordings, translations, software, and design — is the property of Pothi or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Classical Sanskrit and Marathi texts themselves are in the public domain; however, our specific translations, recordings, editorial notes, and software are proprietary. You may not reproduce or distribute them without express written permission.
Pothi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial reading practice.
6. User-generated content
Currently, users do not submit public content on Pothi. If we introduce community features in the future, additional terms will apply and will be communicated at that time.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
